PhD: Department of Chemistry, Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil
Thesis: “Synthesis and Characterization of Pd and Pd In nanocubes: Investigation of Structure Sensitivity and Composition in Suzuki C-C homocoupling and Nitrate Reduction Reactions. ”
Dr. Curi Elias received his Bachelor's degree in 2010 in Chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). He recieved his Master's degree in 2012 and his PhD degree in 2017 in Chemistry from UFSC. During his PhD Dr. Curi Elias worked one year at Rice university with professor Mike S. Wong. While working with Dr. Wong, Dr. Curi Elias synthesized metallic nanoparticles with different sizes and shapes to study the nanomaterials as catalysts for different reactions. In addition, he also worked as post-doctoral student at UFSC from 2017 to 2018 developing new quantification methodologies for oil sludge. Currently, Dr. Curi Elias is working with Professor Michael S. Wong to improve the synthesis of some chemicals products from industry, catalysed be metallic particles.
