As Associate Director for Educational Leadership and STEM Initiatives for the Rice Office of STEM Engagement (R-STEM), Ericka provides leadership and pedagogical support for all R-STEM programs, specifically the ConocoPhillips Rice Elementary Model STEM Lab (REMSL), REMSL Catalyst, ConocoPhillips Applied Mathematics Program (AMP!), and Texas Leadership Initiative for Inquiry Science Teaching (TLIIST) programs. In her role, she specializes in providing effective professional development, teacher mentoring and leadership skills, and teaching for understanding using inquiry methods.

Prior to working at Rice, Ericka served as an elementary science teacher, science curriculum writer, educational consultant, and district science specialist.

She currently holds a B.S. from Prairie View A&M University and an M.S. from Sam Houston State University.
