As Administrative Operations Specialist, Ashby performs a variety of administrative support functions for IRSO and the Special Equipment Authority (SEA). Having previously served as an Archaeological Crew Chief for a cultural resource management firm in Louisiana, Ashby began at Rice as the GMIG Project Coordinator in the Department of Computational and Applied Mathematics in 2019, and joined IRSO in 2022. Ashby holds an undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Accounting, and a Master’s in Historical Archaeology.  Outside of the office, Ashby enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing music.
