Tori Thomas

Tori is a research scientist at Rice University’s Houston Education Research Consortium. Her broad research interests include school racial segregation, race and education, and sociology of education. She completed her dual-title master’s degree in Sociology and Demography at Pennsylvania State University. At the same university, she recently defended her doctoral thesis, which focused on how high school racial segregation shapes the relationship between students’ racial/ethnic backgrounds and their educational attainment outcomes. Tori completed her undergraduate education at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
