Katie Alexander

Katie Alexander (she/her) is a doctoral student and graduate research assistant in the Department of Sociology at Rice University and a graduate fellow in the Religion and Public Life Program. Her research interests include religion, gender, and sexuality, particularly how minoritized gender and sexual groups participate in religious communities and experience belief as a stigmatized and marginalized group.

Katie earned her B.A. in both Sociology and Politics and International Affairs from Wake Forest University. She is originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. For more information, you can email Katie at ksa6@rice.edu.
