Weiqiang Chen

Weiqiang Chen is a postdoctoral researcher focusing on the experiments and simulations of nanoscale mass transport in civil engineering applications. He obtained his PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. The President’s Doctoral Scholar Award funded his PhD project. His research works have revealed the comprehensive relations between mass and heat transfer phenomena with nanoconfinement, saline environment, and charged solid environment. At Rice University, Weiqiang Chen is working with Dr Kai Gong in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering to develop sustainable and durable civil and environmental engineering materials through multi-scale experiments and simulations.
