Adriana came to Houston in 2012 to coordinate the Educational Cooperation Sector of the Consulate General of Brazil and became part of the Rice family in 2015. In 2023, she joins the departments of Philosophy and Religion as the Department Administrator. 

Adriana is from São Paulo, Brazil, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication from the Methodist University of Piracicaba (UNIMEP), her graduate level specialization in Marketing Management from the National Institute of Graduate studies (INPG) and her executive MBA from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).

She is proud of having experienced life in four different countries on both sides of the Atlantic, which led her to the appreciation of cultural differences. She truly appreciates the wonderful diversity at Rice, especially in the humanities.

When not at Rice, she loves working out, trying new vegan dishes and helping animal causes.
